As we continue to build relationships and start conversations with energy sector businesses, Aaron, James and Steve recently attended a series of events as part of Offshore Wind Week organised by EEEGr.

The events included networking and workshops at Orbis Energy Centre in Lowestoft on Thursday 21st then also the Conference Dinner at the Ivy House Hotel where they networked with other EEEGr members, building relationships. Then on Friday 22nd, James attended the East Anglia Offshore Wind Conference again, at the Orbis Energy Centre to hear first-hand key project updates and future and to network with key players in offshore wind in the East of England.

The team found the events extremely informative and all agreed that the team’s attendance at these events shows a real commitment by us to the sector and indeed EEEGr, as we look to build relationships, make new friends and get involved more in these exciting times for the sector.

Additionally, we participated in EEEGr’s Skills for Energy event where we engaged with students from local schools and colleges to make them aware of the opportunities that the sector and ourselves, have for young people as they consider their career paths. The event was attended by one of our apprentices Joshua Tierney and our Strategy and Marketing Manager Steve Tubby, who did a great job in engaging with the students and other company participants, where they built some good relationships.

All in all, a good productive couple of weeks supporting EEEGr, Skills for Energy and of course the sector overall.
